These are stills from experiments in video projection. I'm interested in how we slip in and out of language and narrative. So I was playing about with text, how it emerges and disappears. I was interested in creating a fluid environment for the text, so I filmed my screen prints as I soaked them in water. Once they had dried out, they looked aged and wrinkly with lots of lovely layers or scraps of text visible underneath. My experiments involved filming paint moving over the screen, as matter itself, and my next challenge is to film this and edit to my oral dialogue.
